The Timothy Project is Full Gospel Las Vegas Church's campaign to build a Christian school in the Las Vegas Valley, aimed at raising up the next generation of Christian leaders to fulfill the Great Commission.
Since 1979, Full Gospel Las Vegas Church has existed to save, train, and send out the next generation of Christ's disciples. Our founding pastor, the late Joel Kim, a Korean War orphan, planted the church with this mission in mind.
Up until his passing in 2005, God used Pastor Kim to serve and equip the children and youth of the Las Vegas Valley. While he wasn't able to see the dream of starting a Christian school come to fruition, God has kept that dream alive through our current senior pastor, Joshua Kang.
Sr. Pastor Joshua Kang
Since succeeding Pastor Kim in 2006, Pastor Kang has been boldly leading our church to continue to save, train, and send the next generation of Christ's disciples.
By faith, our church purchased 20 acres of land in the southwest part of Las Vegas in 2010 to build the future site of our church and Christian school.
The apostle Paul mentored a young believer named Timothy to lead and carry the mission of the gospel forward after him. The heart behind the Timothy Project is to do the same–to raise up the next generation of Christian leaders who will take the gospel to every corner of the world.
Our Enduring Vision
From the beginning, our founders planted more than a church. They planted a vision to pass down faith from one generation to the next. That vision has carried us through the years and will continue to guide us into the future. The calling and the conviction that God has woven into our church’s DNA has led us to launch the Timothy Project.
Join us in laying the foundation for a future where faith, education, and mission come together to reach the world for Christ.

Beyond Education: Building Disciples, Leaders, and World Changers
Our school will be built on three core elements that shape every student’s journey: discipleship and mentorship, leadership development, and a global mission perspective.
With an average 1:12 teacher-to-student ratio, we will provide personalized, hands-on learning that will nurture holistic growth—intellectual, emotional, relational, spiritual, and physical. Students will develop teamwork, communication, and confidence through meaningful leadership opportunities, while also gaining a global mindset through secondary language learning and cross-cultural engagement.
Ultimately, we will seek to inspire students to live for a purpose greater than themselves—to dream beyond the American Dream and make a lasting impact in the world.
